The Sitarail project of Bolloré Transport & Logistics awarded by AIFA

At the second edition of Africa Investments Forum & Awards (AIFA), Bolloré Transport & Logistics won the trophy for the best project in “port, airport and railways infrastructure” category. The ceremony was held at the Pavillon d’Armenonville in Paris in the presence of Eric Melet, Chief Development Officer of Bolloré Transport & Logistics and CEO of Bolloré Railways. The Sitarail project involves the acquisition of “new rail equipment and complete renovation of the railway between Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso,” as stated in the press release from the company. In total, 600 million euros should be invested, including 250 between 2019 and 2023. The Sitarail project will provide direct or indirect employment and reinforce exchanges between Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Mali.

Jean-Pierre Clamadieu becomes Engie’s new president

Jean-Pierre Clamadieu has just been appointed as new Chairman of Engie’s Board of Directors. The decision was taken on Friday, May 18 during the General Shareholders’ Meeting which also marked the end of Gérard Mestrallet’s term as Chairman of the Board and was appointed as Chairman of Honour of the Group.

Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, 59, a former graduate of the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris, said: “I am proud to succeed Gérard Mestrallet, who dedicated 23 years to make Engie a key international energy and services Group. »

The French group Engie, whose state owns 24.1% of the capital, is today the 3rd largest group in the world in the energy sector (excluding oil) with more than 66 billion euros of C.A.

The Esta 2018 Awards Shortlist released

Next 26 April, on Intermat trade-fair, the Esta Users Night And Awards Dinner will stand at the Hilton Paris Charles de Gaulle. In ten different categories, four finalists will compete to win the associate award. During a gala dinner, 22 European companies and members of the organisation will be represented. Some of them has been nominated in several categories. Thus, Mammoet is rewarded in seven of them, Ale will be present in five categories as well as Fagioli Spa, Wagenborg Nedlift B.V will compete for four awards and Sarens B.V in two categories. Yoven Moorooven, new CEO of Engie’s Africa Business Unit

The Engie group announced they appointed Yoven Moorooven as CEO of Engie’s Africa Business Unit, replacing Bruno Bensasson who is leaving the group. Holding two master’s degrees, in econometrics and in banking, finance and commodities, Yoven Moorooven joined Engie in 2013. He run the International Division within the Global Energy Management Business Unit, where he was in charge of the development of all new energy market activities. Yoven Moorooven will take up his new duties on April 15, 2018.

Mike Davis appointed as Genie’s Vice President Product Management & Terex Business Systems (TBS)

Mike Davis has been chosen as Genie’s Vice President Product Management & Terex Business Systems (TBS), the access platform brand of the Terex group. He will be in charge of the global product management and the TBS activities through operations and administrative functions.

Working in the company for 21 years, he previously was Genie Vice President and Managing Director Asia Pacific.

Gilles Dupont appointed head of Eiffage Construction’s development department

Gilles Dupont joined Eiffage Construction in 1989 and worked at the company until he became regional director for the Lorraine Champagne-Ardenne region. In 2010 he left Eiffage for the Rabot Dutilleul company where he became a Chairman in 2013. Back in Eiffage Construction, he will be responsible for developing branch activities in line with Eiffage Construction’s strategic plan.
