WOLFF Cranes Rise Above Medina Hotel Project

Rate this post

Construction of a new hotel in Al Madinah (Medina), Saudi Arabia, is progressing with the support of two WOLFF tower cranes, helping expand accommodation capacity for the millions of pilgrims who visit the city each year.

Wolffkran Saudi Arabia has supplied a WOLFF 6031 Clear and a WOLFF 7532 Cross crane for the project, both installed on WOLFF foundation anchors. The cranes provide lifting capacities of 12 and 16 tonnes respectively, supporting the construction of the new hotel with the reach and performance required for the development.

The WOLFF 6031 Clear is configured with a 60 metre jib and a hook height of 86.6 metres, while the WOLFF 7532 Cross operates with a 75 metre jib and reaches a hook height of 73.1 metres.

Commissioned by Saudi construction company Ansab, the hotel is being developed to increase accommodation capacity for pilgrims and other visitors to Medina, one of Islam’s holiest cities alongside Mecca.

The project is one of a growing number of developments in Saudi Arabia supported by Wolffkran as the Kingdom continues to invest heavily in infrastructure, hospitality and tourism as part of its long-term development strategy.
