Jan Sarens, Group Director at Sarens, and Morten Kammer, CEO of BMS Heavy Cranes, have been elected to the ESTA Board following approval by the association’s General Assembly.
Both were elected unopposed and replace Stijn Sarens and Jens Engaard, who have stepped down after serving the maximum three terms permitted under ESTA’s rules.
Stijn Sarens served as ESTA Secretary, while Engaard was Vice-President of the Crane Section.
The General Assembly also unanimously approved the reappointment of Iffet Türken to the Board. Türken currently serves as President of ESTA’s Transport Section and Chair of the association’s HSE Commission.
“The board is delighted to welcome Jan and Morten, and also that Iffet has agreed to serve another term,” said Miguel Flórez de la Colina, Director of ESTA.
He also thanked the outgoing board members for their contribution to the association.
“We would also like to offer our sincere thanks to Stijn and Jens for their great contributions to ESTA’s work over many years, and allowing the wider industry to benefit from their knowledge and expertise,” said Miguel Flórez de la Colina, Director of ESTA.
The changes bring new representation from two major European heavy-lift companies while maintaining continuity within ESTA’s transport and safety leadership.
