How MOVE IT Magazine collects, uses and protects your personal data, in line with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, the EU GDPR and PECR.
This website, moveitmagazine.com, and the MOVE IT Magazine print and digital publications are operated by Moho Agency Ltd ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
EU representative. Because we are based in the United Kingdom and offer our services to people in the European Union, we appoint a representative in the EU under Article 27 of the EU GDPR: LWR Group s. r. o., Slovakia, who can be contacted at info [at] moveitmagazine [dot] com.
This policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you visit our website, read our news, create an account, buy a magazine or a subscription, sign up to our newsletter, request our media kit, advertise with us, contact us or use our website assistant (chatbot). It applies to readers, customers, advertisers, partners and anyone who contacts us.
We work mostly with professionals. Most of the data we handle relates to people acting for their company (name, job title, work email). The law still protects this data and we treat it with the same care.

Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have balanced it against your rights. You can object at any time (see "Your rights").
We do not sell your data. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under a written contract (processors), and only as needed:
Some articles or pages may embed content from social networks or video platforms. These providers may collect data according to their own policies, only after your consent when required.
Your data is mainly processed in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Some providers (for example Google or Anthropic) may process data in the United States or other countries. When that happens we rely on an adequacy decision (such as the UK-US data bridge or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified) or on appropriate safeguards: the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards.

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct it; erase it; restrict its use; object to its use, including at any time to direct marketing; data portability; and to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

Complaints. Under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 you can first complain to us about how we use your personal data, by writing to info [at] moveitmagazine [dot] com. We acknowledge every complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay and tell you the outcome. You can still go to the ICO at any time.
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the website and the shop to work, and, only with your consent, statistics and marketing cookies. You can accept, refuse or change your choice at any time through the cookie banner. Details of each cookie are in our Cookie Policy.
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), a web application firewall, spam and bot protection, access controls for administrators and regular updates. Card payments are processed by certified payment providers (PCI DSS). No system is risk-free: if a breach is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Our website and publications are intended for professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy, for example when we add a new service. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for you, we will tell you by email or on the website.
