Violi will report directly to WireCo Chief Executive Officer Keith White and will oversee the regional supply chain, with a focus on improving service levels, cost productivity and operational performance.
He brings more than 25 years of international experience spanning engineering, manufacturing, operations and executive leadership.
His previous roles include operational improvement positions at CNH and Yanmar, as well as strategy and operations leadership posts at Honeywell and Eaton. Most recently, he led a business unit at fire truck manufacturer Magirus.
“Damiano understands the practical demands of running complex industrial businesses,” said Keith White, Chief Executive Officer of WireCo. “He brings experience translating operational priorities into improvements on the manufacturing floor, supported by a strong engineering background.”
At WireCo, Violi will work across the company’s European and Rest of World operations to improve capacity utilisation and execution throughout the supply chain, supported by the WireCo Business System.
“My first priority will be to understand our operations and the opportunities our teams see for improvement,” said Damiano Violi, Chief Operating Officer, Europe & Rest of World at WireCo.
Originally from Italy, Violi holds an engineering degree from the University of Bologna and has spent recent years working in Germany. He speaks Italian, English, French and German and is expected to relocate to Porto, Portugal.
