Geodis, the logistics provider that launched its eLogistics platform in 2020, has opened a new 7,000 sqm facility in Coventry, UK, to support e-retailers in outsourcing their logistics operations. This platform has a capacity to store over 500,000 SKUs and can process up to 5,000 orders per day.

Geodis’ eLogistics solution offers a complete logistics solution for order preparation and personalization, inventory optimization, transport organization, and returns management. It also allows e-commerce companies to outsource their logistics operations more efficiently and flexibly without a large financial investment.

The eLogistics platform integrates seamlessly with the leading CMSs, ERPs, and marketplaces and provides e-merchants with real-time tracking of their orders through the Visibility Portal. Geodis currently operates six eLogistics platforms in the US, France, and the UK, with space also available in Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy, totaling 40,000 sqm of warehousing.

Jean-Pierre Juteau, Head of Geodis eLogistics Europe, said that the opening of the new facility will allow new webshops, marketplaces, and other e-commerce platforms to develop their businesses in a new geographical area close to local markets. This latest innovation from Geodis is expected to support the growth of the e-commerce industry in the UK and beyond.
