Dynamic Load Monitoring (DLM) has appointed Chris Harrison as Managing Director, with former Managing Director Martin Halford moving into the role of Chair as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
Based in Southampton, UK, DLM supplies load cells, load monitoring technology and cable working equipment to the lifting, rigging, offshore, wind energy and wider renewables sectors.
Harrison joins the business with extensive experience in engineering, strategic growth and international business development, having previously led global expansion and major projects for a specialist engineering company serving multiple industries.
Martin Halford said the leadership change reflects the company’s rapid growth and its ambitions for the coming years. “To progress further and hit the targets we want to get to in the next five years, we need to structure the management differently,” he said. “I wanted to step back from day-to-day operations to transition into a more strategic role while engaging more with larger projects the business could undertake.”
As Chair, Halford will remain actively involved in shaping the company’s long-term strategy, while Harrison takes responsibility for daily operations, customer service and future growth.
Harrison said, “DLM stood out to me for its strong reputation, team culture and ambition for future growth. I’m looking forward to working alongside Martin while spending time with our customers to understand their future requirements so we can continue to innovate and strengthen our position as the global first choice for load monitoring and offshore equipment.”
