Deutsche Post DHL Group is adding 25 electric KAMAG ePrecisionMover swap body movers to parcel centres across Germany, expanding the use of zero-emission equipment in high-throughput yard logistics operations.
The vehicles will be introduced gradually at sites where short turnaround times, high availability and continuous multi-shift operation are critical.
The delivery continues a relationship between DHL and TII KAMAG dating back to 1995, when DHL became the first customer to receive a KAMAG swap body mover.

Within parcel centres, the ePrecisionMover is used to move swap bodies between loading gates, ramps and staging areas. Its short lifting and lowering cycles and compact manoeuvring characteristics are designed to reduce waiting and idle times during tightly scheduled hub operations.
“The demands placed on parcel networks continue to grow, both in terms of handling performance and sustainability. With the KAMAG ePM, we offer a solution that combines both dimensions and integrates seamlessly into existing and scalable logistics processes,” said Godehard Eidenhammer, Head of Yard Logistics Sales at TII KAMAG.
The electric drivetrain produces zero local emissions and is intended to reduce energy consumption and maintenance requirements compared with diesel-powered alternatives.
Battery capacity is designed around typical shift cycles, while opportunity charging can be incorporated into existing operating schedules where required.
“The electrification of our yard logistics is a key element of our sustainability strategy,” said Dane Becker, System Management Operational Vehicles at Deutsche Post DHL Group. “With the KAMAG ePM, we are investing in a high-performance, emission-free solution that meets our operational requirements for parcel handling while contributing to the reduction of our CO₂ emissions.”
The ePM also features an ergonomically designed cab with improved all-round visibility, intuitive controls and reduced noise levels, aimed at improving both operator comfort and safety during round-the-clock parcel handling operations.
