Osprey is increasing its involvement in the Sizewell C programme with the establishment of a permanent operational base in Leiston, close to the project site.
The new office will support Osprey’s engineering and logistics teams working across the development, while enabling closer coordination with Tier 1 contractors, suppliers and other delivery partners.
The Leiston base will provide support for transport engineering, logistics planning, lifting operations, installation activities and early contractor engagement throughout the construction programme.
The move builds on Osprey’s experience in the nuclear and major infrastructure sectors, including its Tier 1 role at Hinkley Point C, where the company has supported complex transport and lifting requirements.
Nigel Fletcher, CEO of Osprey, said the new location reflects the company’s long term commitment to Sizewell C and the wider East of England.
“Being based close to the project allows us to work more collaboratively with clients, contractors and local suppliers, providing responsive engineering and logistics support where it matters most,” he said.
Osprey also expects its permanent presence in Leiston to create more opportunities for local businesses and suppliers to become involved in the project, while helping strengthen regional skills and supply chain capability.
The company plans to work with local partners wherever possible and engage with education, employment and skills initiatives across the region.
As activity at Sizewell C continues to increase, the Leiston base will give Osprey a stronger platform to support complex logistics and engineering operations while contributing to the development of the regional nuclear supply chain.
