Trans Global Projects has opened a new office in Bilbao, Spain, strengthening its presence in Southern Europe and expanding local support for project logistics, heavy lift and out of gauge transport activities.
The office is led by Sergio Rivas, Managing Director Spain, and is home to a seven person team with experience across project cargo, industrial logistics, transport engineering and project execution.
The Bilbao team will support customers from early planning and engineering stages through to transport execution, working across sectors including energy, renewables, infrastructure, industrial and manufacturing.
Services from the new office will include project logistics management, multimodal transport, transport engineering support, heavy lift and out of gauge cargo movements, chartering coordination, vendor management and project execution.
Colin Charnock, Group Chief Executive Officer at TGP, said Spain and the wider Southern European region are important markets for the company’s customers and partners.
“Having an operational office in Bilbao allows us to be closer to projects, strengthen relationships across the region and provide support where decisions and project activities are taking place,” he said.
Igor Muñiz, Chief Strategy Officer Global Accounts and South Europe, added that the new operation will allow TGP to combine local support with consistent project oversight across international programmes.
The Bilbao office will also connect customers in Spain with TGP’s wider global network and specialist resources, providing local decision making alongside international project logistics capabilities.
