Subsea7 has secured a contract from LLOG Exploration Company, a subsidiary of Harbour Energy, for the Who Dat East development in the US Gulf.
The project is located in lease MC 509-1 in approximately 1,300 m of water and will involve the fabrication, transportation and installation of a 29 km steel catenary riser and pipe-in-pipe system connected to the Who Dat floating production system.
Subsea7 will also install the project’s umbilical and subsea control systems.
Project management and engineering work will begin immediately from the company’s Houston office, while offshore installation activities are scheduled to start in 2028.
Craig Broussard, Senior Vice President for Subsea7 US, said the award continues the company’s longstanding relationship with LLOG.
“We are proud of our longstanding relationship with LLOG, and our shared commitment to creating greater value from their US developments,” he said.
Subsea7 classifies the award as a “sizeable” contract, representing a value of between $50 million and $150 million.
