CM Labs is introducing an expanded port operator training package at TOC Americas and TOC Asia, combining updated simulation curriculum, remote operations training and a new AI-powered assistant for instructors and trainees.

At TOC Americas, taking place from 20–22 October in Cartagena, Colombia, CM Labs will demonstrate its Advantage simulator with Ship-to-Shore crane and Internal Transfer Vehicle training.

The company will also present its latest training technology at TOC Asia in Singapore on 10–11 November, where visitors will be able to experience the Intellia Workforce Training System and Remote Operating Station.

The Remote Operating Station recreates a control-room environment, helping operators develop camera-based situational awareness and prepare for remotely controlled port equipment.

CM Labs is also introducing a new Scenario Editor for selected equipment types, allowing instructors to configure machinery and operating conditions to reflect specific terminal environments.

Its new AI Assistant, available across the company’s Ports portfolio, is designed to help instructors access curriculum information, recommend exercises and adapt training to individual operator needs. Trainees can also receive assistance directly within the simulator.

The tools complement CM Labs’ Record and Replay and Performance Leaderboards, which give instructors additional ways to monitor and assess operator performance.

“As terminals adopt more advanced equipment and remote operations, the challenge is ensuring their workforces have the skills and confidence to keep pace,” said Lisa Barbieri, VP of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships at CM Labs.

CM Labs’ Intellia Workforce Training System combines simulators, structured equipment curricula and training management tools into a connected environment designed to allow operators to practise complex port scenarios without placing personnel, machinery or terminal productivity at risk.
