Oxbo Mega Transport Solutions, a division of OXBO Inc., has expanded its heavy lifting capabilities with the addition of an Enerpac SBL600 hydraulic gantry, supplied by Engineered Rigging. The new system complements the company’s existing Enerpac SBL900 gantry and fleet of strand jacks, strengthening its ability to handle complex lifting projects.

The SBL600 was demonstrated during Oxbo’s Open Day, where the company showcased its latest lifting solutions. With a 600-tonne lifting capacity, the gantry is well suited to Oxbo’s core operations, particularly in the power generation and transmission sectors. The system’s availability from existing Enerpac inventory also enabled rapid deployment.

Transport efficiency was a key factor in the investment. The SBL600 requires fewer legal loads, allowing Oxbo to deliver more competitive lifting solutions across a wider geographic area. Its foldable boom design enables transport on standard flatbed trailers without special permits, reducing both cost and logistical complexity.

The gantry features a three-stage telescopic hydraulic cylinder and offers a maximum lifting height of 34.78 ft. Its rectangular boom design provides increased capacity, with up to 674 tonnes in the first stage, 562 tonnes in the second and 416 tonnes in the third.

Ease of operation and safety were also important considerations, with remote control functionality and integrated monitoring systems enhancing performance on site. Oxbo highlighted its positive experience with Enerpac systems, supported by strong technical collaboration with Engineered Rigging and responsive after-sales support.
