Rate this post

Ten years after launching operations in Bawal, near New Delhi, TII India Pvt. Ltd. has grown into a strategic manufacturing and engineering hub for the global TII Group. Since production began in 2015, the facility has expanded from assembling pre-built modules into a key centre for heavy transport systems serving both Indian and international markets.

Today the site employs around 350 people and operates across a 30,000 m² production area, having delivered several thousand axle lines. From the outset, the facility was integrated into the TII Group’s global production network, operating under the same quality standards as its German plants.

Miguel Fernandes, managing director of TII India, says the site was originally focused on establishing a strong industrial base. Over the past decade, however, it has evolved into a globally connected hub supporting major heavy transport projects.

Central to this development is the modular SCHEUERLE K25 system, which forms the technical platform for a wide range of heavy transport applications, including infrastructure, energy and industrial projects. The system can be configured to meet national regulations or international homologation standards. Since 2022, the Bawal facility has also produced variants compliant with UNECE requirements, allowing deployment in highly regulated markets.

The site has also achieved several engineering milestones. In 2016, TII India delivered its first telescopic SCHEUERLE Extender units, capable of transporting wind turbine rotor blades up to 62 metres long. Larger projects followed, including girder bridges with payload capacities of up to 500 tonnes and 550 tonnes for Indian transport companies.
