TII Group is investing a high double-digit million euro amount in the comprehensive redevelopment of its Pfedelbach site in Germany, combining a new headquarters with a major renewal of its production facilities. The programme represents the largest investment in the company’s history and a long-term commitment by the Otto Rettenmaier shareholder family to TII’s industrial base in Germany. Pasted markdown

The investment covers the Group’s headquarters as well as the progressive replacement of existing production halls with new manufacturing facilities designed to support future growth across the TII SCHEUERLE and TII KAMAG brands.

The completed headquarters provides more than 200 modern workstations and introduces flexible and hybrid working arrangements alongside new meeting, collaboration and customer presentation areas. Around 600 people are employed at the Pfedelbach site, while TII Group employs more than 1,000 people worldwide.

The larger industrial transformation will see existing production halls gradually dismantled and replaced. TII plans to redesign manufacturing, assembly and internal logistics processes from the ground up, with improved material flows, dedicated assembly and manoeuvring areas and infrastructure capable of accommodating future products, machinery and production methods.

“The TII Group has doubled its revenue over the past few years. Through the largest investment in our company’s history, we are now creating the conditions needed to continue this successful journey,” said Filippo Baldassari, Managing Director of the TII Group.

Pfedelbach remains one of TII Group’s key heavy transport manufacturing and engineering locations. Its history is closely connected with technologies that helped shape modern heavy transport, including SCHEUERLE’s hydraulically supported pendulum axle and the Self-Propelled Modular Transporter.

Introduced in 1983, the SCHEUERLE SPMT combines modular vehicle units with electronic multidirectional steering, allowing transport configurations to be built for extremely large and heavy loads. TII says its installed base of SPMT axle lines remains compatible across different vehicle generations, providing operators with additional flexibility when assembling transport combinations.

The new investment also reinforces TII Group’s strategy of combining an international manufacturing network with continued industrial development in Germany. Alongside Pfedelbach, the company operates a German production site in Ulm and a manufacturing facility in Bawal, near New Delhi, India.

In Ulm, investment is focusing particularly on future technologies including electromobility, while the Bawal operation has undergone significant expansion in recent years. Together, the developments are intended to increase manufacturing capacity and support growth across international heavy transport markets.

The Pfedelbach programme also carries particular significance for the company’s owners, as the largest investment in TII Group’s history is being announced in the year marking the 100th birthday of founder Otto Rettenmaier.
