Ambercor Shipping USA, a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium, has completed the transport of three oversized tanks from Türkiye to the United States in cooperation with fellow WWPC partner Origin FGL Lojistik.
The cargo included two tanks measuring 40 x 4 x 4.3 metres and weighing 90 tonnes each, along with a third unit measuring 20 x 4.2 x 4.3 metres and weighing 48 tonnes. The tanks were moved by special trailers from the manufacturing site in Bandirma to Gemlik Port.
From there, the units were shipped on a chartered heavy lift vessel to New Orleans. After discharge, the cargo was transferred onto river barges for inland transportation, with the final destination in New York State.
The project highlights the importance of coordinated multimodal planning and close collaboration between international partners to ensure safe and efficient delivery of heavy and oversized cargo across complex transport routes.
