EVS Acquisition Lifts Hiab Q3 Sales to €481m

Environmental Vehicle Solutions contributed €103 million of quarterly sales, while Hiab’s comparable operating margin rose to 14.2% against a mixed market backdrop.

Hiab increased third-quarter sales by 39% to €481 million following the consolidation of Environmental Vehicle Solutions (EVS), whose acquisition closed on 1 July. Organic sales growth at constant currencies was 5%.

Orders received rose 26% to €441 million, although the organic figure fell 4% at constant currencies. EVS contributed €87 million of orders during the quarter, underlining the acquisition’s influence on the reported growth figures.

Comparable operating profit increased 73% to €68.5 million, lifting the margin from 11.4% to 14.2%. Comparable EBITA reached €74.7 million, or 15.5% of sales. Reported operating profit was €53.8 million, including €15 million of items affecting comparability.

The order book stood at €873 million at the end of September, compared with €557 million a year earlier. Services sales increased 15% to €134 million, supported by EVS and recurring activities such as spare parts and maintenance.

Hiab said orders continued to grow in EMEA, while acquisition activity drove growth in the Americas. The company expects more than €12 million in annualised procurement and commercial synergies from EVS from 2029.

Its full-year outlook remains unchanged, with a comparable operating profit margin above 14.5% expected for 2026, compared with 13.7% in 2025. The unaudited interim figures relate to continuing operations unless otherwise stated.
