Alimak Group appoints Karin Bååthe as EVP Construction division

Alimak Group has appointed Karin Bååthe as the new Executive Vice President (EVP) of its Construction division, effective from 7 April 2026.

Bååthe will be based in Stockholm, Sweden, and will join the Group Leadership Team. She brings extensive international industrial experience, having previously held roles at McKinsey and SSAB, and most recently served as Regional CEO Ground Support EMEA at Sandvik Mining.

Ole Kristian Jødahl, CEO of Alimak Group, said he is pleased to welcome Karin Bååthe to the company, highlighting her global industrial background, P&L leadership, and strong commercial and operational expertise, which are expected to further strengthen the Construction division.

Commenting on her appointment, Karin Bååthe said she looks forward to joining Alimak Group and contributing to the continued profitable growth of both the Construction division and the wider Group. She added that Alimak Group’s global market position, strong customer focus and commitment to premium product quality and innovation provide a solid platform for future development.

Alimak Group also announced that David Batson, who has served as EVP for more than five years, will transition into a new role as Director of APAC for the Construction division. In this position, Batson will report to Bååthe. The company recognised Batson’s leadership as instrumental in building the division into its current strong organisation and said it looks forward to his continued contribution in the Asia-Pacific region.
