Krösche-Kran Service GmbH has reinforced its long-standing partnership with Liebherr by adding the LTF 1045-4.1 truck-mounted crane to its fleet. Managing Director Joachim Ruthe highlights the crane’s efficiency, stating, “With five tonnes of ballast, its gross weight remains just 33 tonnes, making it the perfect machine for assembling prefabricated wooden houses.”

Specializing in prefabricated wood construction, Krösche supplies cranes for around 90% of Germany’s prefabricated house manufacturers. The LTF 1045-4.1’s road permit flexibility enhances cost-effective operations, while the truck chassis allows drivers to stay on-site overnight, reducing logistical challenges. Additionally, its twin-engine design ensures lower fuel consumption, supporting sustainability goals.

Truck-mounted cranes like the LTF 1045-4.1 offer an economical alternative to all-terrain models, benefiting from lower fuel costs and reduced wear on standard truck components. The crane reaches hook heights of 44 meters with its 35-meter telescopic boom and folding jib, while maintaining optimal axle loads for efficient road travel.

With over 40 years of collaboration, Krösche has significantly influenced the development of Liebherr’s LTF series. “Liebherr’s aftersales service, with its readily available engineers and spare parts, is crucial for our operations,” says Ruthe.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024, Krösche operates 30 cranes, 70% of which are Liebherr LTF models. Founded in 1899, the family-owned company remains one of the leaders in prefabricated wood construction, combining tradition with innovation.
