KENC Engineering was awarded an engineering job by GustoMSC in May 2022. The company has now successfully completed the assignment, which involved providing detailed engineering support for the new heavy lift crane of Cadeler’s jack-up vessel, Wind Orca.
KENC provided GustoMSC with design and engineering work for the secondary steel, such as stairs, platforms, and access to maintenance locations, of the boom and A-frame of the crane. With this strategic upgrade, Cadeler has strengthened its position in the growing offshore wind market. The Wind Orca now has a total lifting capacity of 1600mT, which is an improvement from its previous capacity of 1200mT.
