Eiffage Wins Callao Port Expansion

Rate this post

Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil Marine, has been awarded a major contract for the expansion of the Muelle Norte terminal at the Port of Callao.

The project, secured in consortium with Jan De Nul, is valued at over €100 million and was awarded by APM Terminals Callao, a joint venture involving APM Terminals and Terminal Investment Limited.

The scope includes the demolition of existing docks 4 and 5C, followed by the construction of a new dock 5C built on pilings. The new structure will measure 441 metres in length and 44 metres in width, nearly doubling the size of the current facility.

The contract will run for 21 months, including a five-month design phase, with construction taking place while the terminal remains operational, adding complexity to the execution.

This award further strengthens Eiffage’s position in large-scale port infrastructure projects, drawing on its expertise in marine civil engineering and complex construction environments. The group is currently involved in similar projects across Africa, including in Benin, the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
