Comansa China celebrated its 20th anniversary in Hangzhou on 19 October 2026, bringing together employees, customers, suppliers and Group representatives to mark two decades of tower crane production and development in China.

The anniversary featured a fitting centrepiece for the crane manufacturer, with the new 21CM1480 tower crane lifting a giant “20” above the celebrations. The model is scheduled for its official launch in November.

Comansa entered the Chinese market 20 years ago through a joint venture with Jie, before Comansa China became wholly owned by the Group in 2015. Since then, the operation has developed into an important part of the manufacturer’s international business.

Wang Xiaohui, Global CEO of the Savera Group, who was involved in bringing Comansa to China, attended the event alongside long-standing suppliers and customers.

Speaking remotely from the company’s headquarters in Spain, the Group chairman reflected on the decision to establish operations in China and the development of the business over the past two decades.

“Twenty years on, it is very clear that was the right decision. You have built far more than buildings: you have built trust, a team and a family,” said Alberto, Chairman of the Group.

The company also highlighted its plans for continued investment in China, which it considers a central market in its long-term global strategy.

Twenty-four employees who have completed 20 years with Comansa China received commemorative medals during the event.

Gao Wei, Chief Engineer of the Technical Department, recalled the team’s first crane, a 21CJ290, and the technical development that followed. Comansa China’s product range has since expanded to four major series and thousands of configurations.

The anniversary concluded with the full Comansa China team gathering for a group celebration, as the company prepares to introduce the 21CM1480 and begin its next phase of development in the Chinese and international tower crane markets.
