Kito Crosby has secured a major offshore contract to design and supply Crosby Fairlead and Horizontal Block systems rated at 600 tonnes, forming part of an 800 tonne riser pull in package for a new Floating Production Unit in the Gulf of America.
The award, granted in the fourth quarter of 2025, strengthens Kito Crosby’s position as a provider of high capacity load handling solutions for demanding offshore environments. The project will be delivered in close cooperation with its partner MDL Maritime Development and the end client, an international energy major.
Crosby was selected for its ability to deliver a fatigue resistant, technically advanced solution tailored to strict space, weight and interface constraints. The fairlead and block systems combine compact, weight efficient design with high operational reliability under dynamic offshore loads, while meeting relevant offshore standards and customer specifications.
Engineering, manufacturing and delivery will be aligned with the overall construction and installation schedule of the floating production unit. The systems are engineered to ensure long term operational integrity and safe handling during critical offshore riser pull in operations, supporting efficient installation in one of the industry’s most challenging environments.
