Raimondi Middle East continues its expansion in the Gulf region with the installation of six flat-top tower cranes at Arada’s Aljada master development in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The deployment supports one of the latest construction phases within the Aljada Central Business District.

The installation includes four MRT159 cranes and two T187 flat-tops, marking the first time Raimondi’s T Series cranes have been erected on a GCC jobsite. The T187 units form part of Raimondi Middle East’s ongoing fleet expansion, which now exceeds 200 cranes.

Raimondi is a vital part of the construction works for Arada’s flagship megacity. Our long-standing partnership with the developer has been built on reliability, responsiveness, and consistent project delivery,” said Wael Hasan, General Manager of Raimondi Middle East.

Positioned adjacent to a neighbouring site where multiple Raimondi flat-top cranes are already operating, the project further strengthens the company’s footprint across the wider Aljada development. According to Hasan, fast-track scheduling required precise coordination throughout delivery, assembly, and installation phases, driving the selection of cranes known for versatility and ease of erection.

The four MRT159 cranes arrived onsite with pre-assembled components, completed rope installations, and passed connections, enabling rapid commissioning. Each crane offers a maximum lifting capacity of 8 tonnes and features a 30kW hoist winch capable of lifting speeds up to 136 m/min. The units are currently operating with jib lengths between 50 m and 65 m, freestanding at heights of up to 51 m.

The two newly delivered Raimondi T187 flat-tops are equipped with Lumina crane cabins and configured with jib lengths of 60 m and 65 m. Tower heights reach 63 m and 57 m respectively, with tip loads of 2.59 tonnes and 2.09 tonnes. In the 30kW winch configuration, the cranes achieve lifting speeds of up to 115 m/min and feature a drum capacity of 510 m.

As construction progresses, five of the six cranes will be climbed progressively, with final hook heights expected to reach up to 85 m.

“Raimondi’s Middle East rental fleet now includes several T187 flat-tops. The T187 offers excellent lifting performance, speed, and configuration flexibility,” Hasan explained. He added that weight-optimised components simplify installation procedures and, combined with a maximum lifting capacity of 10 tonnes, make the model well suited to fast-paced projects.

Eng. Muath Bani-Issa, Head of Operations at Raimondi Middle East, highlighted the positive early feedback on the T187. “Beyond its mechanical strength, the integrated ConCore system simplifies commissioning and allows real-time remote monitoring of crane performance and operations,” he said.

Installed in the fourth quarter of 2025, the cranes are expected to remain onsite for up to 18 months. Once completed, the new district will comprise premium office buildings, commercial areas, and mixed-use business facilities.
