Kito Crosby, a lifting and securement products provider, is proud to announce its third year of support for Bridges to Prosperity (B2P) in 2025.

Kito Crosby will provide essential products such as wire rope clips, turnbuckles, snatch blocks, special trolleys, manual hoists, and wire rope tension meters to more than 40 bridge construction projects in Africa, together with rigging awareness training for safer lifting and rigging operations. The bridges will provide more than 150,000 people with access to vital resources such as healthcare, education and employment.

Additionally, at the end of September 2025, Kito Crosby will deploy a 10-member European, Asia-Pacific, and American-based team, collectively known as the Cyumba Team, to undertake essential maintenance work such as a full grade to longer duration steel decking work on the 48-meter suspended Cyumba trail bridge located in Nyaruguru District, Rwanda. The bridge is serving a population of 4,419 people and is located at 1,513 meters (4,965 feet) in height, approximately a four-hour distance from Kigali.

B2P is a not-for-profit American organization that collaborates with governments and rural communities to provide access to vital health care, education, and economic empowerment through construction of trail bridges spanning impassable rivers. B2P has constructed over 730 trail bridges supported in 21 countries, and its initiatives have directly benefited over 4.6 million people globally.

Kito Crosby’s CEO, Robert Desel, stated: “We are once again honored to join forces with Bridges to Prosperity. Having supported more than 204 African bridges since 2022 with lifting and securing products for construction and ground teams, we are privileged to send the Cyumba Team to Rwanda in 2025. Their work will directly facilitate keeping families, students, and farmers who daily depend upon this bridge safe in their ability to travel over it.”

Desel concluded: “Working alongside B2P and global partners, we are committed to a world where rural isolation is a distant memory, and any community has the ability to thrive through guaranteed provision of fundamental services and economic empowerment.
