Gordons Construction Equipment has opened its seventh depot in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, marking the company’s first dedicated construction-only location and its first base in the East of Scotland.
The new depot forms part of Gordons’ wider expansion following the addition of Dieci and Bomag to its existing Develon dealership portfolio in Scotland.
The Blairgowrie site includes an extensive parts department, workshop facilities and a large equipment forecourt, giving customers access to excavation, lifting, material handling and compaction equipment from all three brands.
The location was selected for its access to the A9 towards Inverness and the A90 towards Aberdeen and Edinburgh, helping Gordons improve service coverage across central and northern Scotland.
“Having all three brands together really brought home what this depot means for our customers in the East and North of Scotland,” said Kevin Fraser, Director at Gordons Construction Equipment.
He added that the new base will also improve response times for service engineers and aftersales support in the region.
The depot will serve customers across construction, landscaping, forestry, waste handling, peatland restoration and agriculture, with equipment including excavators, telehandlers, rollers and other specialist plant.
The opening also featured the handover of a Doddie Weir-liveried Develon loading shovel, which raised £1,288 for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation during a summer tour of trade events.
Gordons Construction Equipment currently employs 35 people within its construction division and reports annual turnover of £27 million.
