Geodis has selected air cargo intelligence provider Rotate to strengthen its global air freight analytics and strategic planning capabilities.
The logistics company will integrate Rotate’s Live Capacity and Air Demand solutions across its international air freight network as part of its continued investment in data-driven decision-making.
The move comes as the air cargo market faces increasing volatility caused by geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions and the growing influence of sectors such as semiconductors and high-tech products.
Rotate’s Live Capacity platform provides real-time visibility into global air cargo supply using aircraft positioning data. The system covers all carriers, airports and flown flights, including freighter, charter and passenger bellyhold operations, giving Geodis a detailed view of worldwide cargo capacity. Historical data dating back to 2018 also allows the company to analyse long-term market developments.
The Air Demand solution complements this by offering detailed insights into cargo demand trends across major trade lanes. The platform combines trade data, traffic flows and external market information to deliver intelligence on more than 5,000 commodities, including fast-growing e-commerce sectors. Historical demand data extends back to 2010.
Ryan Keyrouse, cofounder and CEO of Rotate, said the partnership would help transform complex market data into actionable intelligence for faster decision-making.
Casper Hedemann, senior vice president global air freight at Geodis, added that the collaboration supports the company’s ambition to strengthen its data-driven approach as air cargo markets continue to evolve rapidly.
