Liebherr Group delivered multiple Liebherr LR 1300.1 SX crawler cranes to Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, marking the US company’s 110th anniversary and celebrating the long-standing partnership between the two companies.
The handover also marked a significant milestone as the 175th Liebherr LR 1300 crane delivered to Bigge. The US-based crane specialist now owns the largest fleet of Liebherr crawler cranes produced at the manufacturer’s Nenzing facility, including more than 100 LR 1300 units.
With the latest addition, Bigge’s Perfect Fleet now includes more than 200 Liebherr crawler cranes. The company operates from more than 20 locations across the United States and manages one of the world’s largest and most versatile crane fleets. Overall, Bigge’s fleet has grown to more than 2,000 machines and represents the largest bare rental mobile crane fleet in the world.
Over its 110-year history, Bigge has supported a wide range of major infrastructure and industrial projects. The company’s cranes have contributed to projects such as the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge, as well as modern high-rise developments, stadiums, nuclear power plants, industrial facilities, technology campuses and wind energy projects.
The latest generation LR 1300.1 SX crawler crane offers a maximum lifting capacity of 300 tonnes, or 331 US tons. Designed for demanding lifting operations across different terrains, the crane integrates several advanced assistance systems aimed at improving safety and efficiency. These include self-loading and self-assembly capabilities, ground pressure visualisation and precise crane control technologies, as well as a redesigned cab that enhances operator comfort.
