Ramps Logistics has completed a critical Christmas delivery in Trinidad & Tobago, mobilising an Antonov AN-124 to transport urgent industrial equipment in under 48 hours.
“Christmas Eve into Christmas Day is one of the most unforgiving operating windows in logistics. Capacity is scarce, working hours are tight, and timelines collapse fast. But for 24/7 production facilities, the work cannot wait,” the company said.
During the peak holiday period, Ramps Logistics was tasked with an urgent move to support the rapid restoration of full production at a local industrial plant. With freight options limited, the operational window closing quickly, and cargo positioned across multiple locations, the shipment required an immediate solution and flawless execution.
The answer was the Antonov AN-124, one of the world’s largest cargo aircraft and a rare arrival into Trinidad. The Ramps Logistics team coordinated consolidation, customs clearance, security screening, and loadout under intense time pressure.
Just after 9pm on Christmas Eve, the aircraft entered Trinidad and Tobago’s airspace. Before Christmas Day began, the cargo was on the ground and already en route to the site, allowing engineers to begin bringing the facility back online.
Ramps Logistics highlighted that success depended on more than speed alone. Peak-period operations like this, the company noted, demand early planning, stakeholder coordination, and strict safety and compliance—especially when capacity is scarce and deadlines are unforgiving.
