LASO Transportes has launched a major investment programme to modernise and expand its fleet, strengthening its technical and operational capacity to support increasingly complex transport projects both in Portugal and internationally.

The company, a key player in conventional and special transport, confirmed that the upgrade includes the acquisition of new truck-mounted cranes, tractor units, crane-equipped vehicles, rigid trucks fitted with ramps and winches, modular transport equipment, Super Wing Carriers and what it describes as the world’s largest Blade Lifter. In addition, LASO is expanding its light vehicle fleet with 100% electric units, increasing the flexibility and service range available to customers.

Alongside fleet growth, LASO is also investing in infrastructure development. The company is finalising new facilities in the Basque Country and expanding its headquarters, bringing the total area to 120,000 m².

The multi-million-euro investment forms part of LASO’s wider development strategy, with a strong focus on improving efficiency, safety and environmental sustainability. According to the company, the new vehicles and equipment integrate state-of-the-art technology in control systems, stability and telematics, helping reduce fuel consumption, optimise routing and minimise emissions.

With an established presence across several international markets, LASO says the investment further strengthens its leadership in the transport sector through innovation, continuous fleet renewal and a long-term commitment to sustainable operational performance.
