Cavotec has signed a second contract with Australian construction and engineering specialist Civmec for the supply of a motorised cable and hose reel package at Port Hedland, one of the world’s largest iron ore export facilities.

The system will support reliable cable and hose reeling for power transmission and dust suppression operations, enhancing the port’s heavy-duty material handling capabilities. Delivery of the equipment is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

This latest order follows Cavotec’s initial contract with Civmec, announced on 17 October 2025, for the supply of a motorised reel to the same site. Together, the two contracts further reinforce Cavotec’s footprint in Australia’s mining and bulk material handling sector, where robust and dependable equipment is essential for continuous operations in harsh environments.

“This repeat order reflects the confidence our customers place in Cavotec’s technology and proven expertise in demanding industrial environments,” said David Pagels, CEO of Cavotec. We are pleased to continue supporting Civmec with robust and efficient reeling solutions.”

Located in Western Australia, Port Hedland plays a critical role in global iron ore exports and the new reeling system will contribute to safe, efficient, and environmentally controlled operations.
