Ketten Wälder GmbH, manufacturer of the premium stainless-steel lifting brand cromox, has introduced the cromox Rotating Double Swivel (CWHD). The new product expands the company’s established Grade 60 stainless-steel roundsling connector range for use in cleanroom, food and beverage, offshore, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, water treatment, and other harsh or hygiene-critical environments.
According to Ketten Wälder, the CWHD is designed for applications where loads must rotate under tension. Its dual swivel mechanism enables rotation at both connection points while under load, helping to prevent torsion, improve handling, and support smoother and safer lifting operations.
Most components are manufactured from Grade 60 AISI 318LN Duplex stainless steel, offering high ductility and excellent corrosion resistance (DIN EN ISO 9227 > 1008 h). Pins, bearings, screws, and nuts are also Grade 60 AISI rated. The CWHD is currently available with a Working Load Limit (WLL) of 0.63 tonnes.
Typical applications include lifting processing machinery and tanks in food production, handling cleanroom and biotech equipment, pumps and filtration units in water treatment, and offshore or marine equipment exposed to seawater and aggressive media.
“The double swivel function addresses under-load rotation directly at the lifting point,” said Franz Wälder, CEO of Ketten Wälder GmbH. “Combined with Grade 60 material properties, the CWHD meets the demands of highly corrosive, hygienic, or continuous offshore operations.”
The CWHD is compatible with multiple cromox masterlinks and assemblies, including CGHF-05, CGS-05, CGSL-05, and CVG-05, ensuring seamless system integration.
