Palfinger has expanded its TEC loader crane range with the launch of the new PK 720 TEC, now available to order across the EMEA region. Positioned between the PK 580 and PK 880 TEC, the latest model combines high lifting performance with advanced assistance systems, targeting demanding construction and heavy-duty applications.
The PK 720 TEC delivers a maximum lifting moment of 68.7 metre tonnes and a hydraulic reach of up to 22 metres. In a nine-extension configuration with a fly jib and Dual Power System (DPS-C), the crane achieves a reach of up to 34.4 metres, setting a new benchmark in the 70-metre-tonne class.
Built on Palfinger’s proven P-profile boom system, the crane offers high stiffness with reduced dead weight. A newly developed lighting concept, including working lights on the knuckle boom and fly jib, as well as integrated LED strips, enhances visibility and safety on site.
As part of the TEC range, the PK 720 TEC features PALTRONIC 180 control electronics and the LX-6 control valve for smooth, precise operation. Advanced assistance systems such as HPSC-Plus, S-HPLS and the Support Force Limit function improve stability, lifting performance and ground safety. The Height & Bound feature further increases operational confidence by defining height limits and virtual working boundaries in confined or obstacle-rich environments.
