Palfinger will supply 64 PF 160-5m davit cranes for the East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm following a new contract with Smulders, further strengthening its presence in the UK offshore wind sector.
Located off the Suffolk coast, East Anglia TWO is being developed by ScottishPower Renewables and will have a planned generation capacity of up to 960 MW, producing enough renewable electricity to power almost one million homes.
The order includes one davit crane for each of the project’s 64 wind turbines, with deliveries scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. The cranes will support material handling, maintenance and servicing operations on turbine platforms and are designed to withstand demanding offshore conditions while providing reliable, low-maintenance lifting performance.

The contract follows Palfinger’s previous supply of 96 PF 160 cranes for the neighbouring East Anglia THREE wind farm, where turbine installation is already underway. Together, the two developments will rank among the world’s largest offshore wind farms, supplying renewable electricity to around 2.25 million homes.
The latest award also marks a significant milestone for Palfinger, which has now sold 7,000 lifting and handling solutions for the onshore and offshore wind industry, with approximately 6,600 units already delivered. The company has supported the offshore wind sector for more than two decades, with its equipment operating in 19 countries across five continents.
