Renault Trucks has expanded its electric heavy-duty lineup with two new long-range tractor units, the E-Tech T 585 and E-Tech T 780. The flagship E-Tech T 780 delivers up to 600 km on a single charge, while the E-Tech T 585 balances autonomy with the highest payload in the range. The existing E-Tech T 540 4×2 has also been upgraded, now achieving up to 450 km per charge.

The increased range of the new models comes from a redesigned architecture featuring an electric axle that consolidates motors and transmission at the rear, freeing space for additional battery packs. Both trucks are equipped with high-energy-density NCA lithium-ion batteries in a new L-shape configuration, backed by Renault Trucks for eight years or one million kilometres.

The E-Tech T 585 carries 585 kWh of capacity for up to 460 km of range, while the E-Tech T 780 integrates 780 kWh to reach 600 km. Both are compatible with Megawatt Charging System (MCS) stations up to 720 kW, enabling up to 350 km of added range during a 45-minute break. Depot charging via CCS up to 350 kW is also supported.

Designed for long-haul comfort, the 6×2 versions feature air suspension and enhanced manoeuvrability comparable to 4×2 tractors. The E-Tech T 585 offers a payload of up to 28 tonnes, depending on local regulations.

Renault Trucks also pairs its vehicles with a suite of connected services, including Optifleet fleet management, the Serenity Pack support programme, and driver-focused charging tools.

All three models will be produced in Bourg-en-Bresse and are available to order now.
