Tadano Ltd. has announced the sale of its Rabern Rentals business to Sunbelt Rentals, effective September 17, 2025. The transaction includes Rabern Rentals’ four locations in northern Texas, based in Hereford, Lubbock, and two in Amarillo.

Tadano had acquired Rabern Rentals earlier this year through its purchase of Manitex International, Inc. in January 2025. All other businesses from that acquisition – including Manitex Inc., PM Oil & Steel S.p.A., and Manitex Valla S.r.l. – remain under Tadano’s ownership.

The divestiture highlights Tadano’s strategy to remain focused on its core business as a global manufacturer of lifting and access solutions. The company reaffirmed its commitment to innovation, product development, and customer support across its equipment portfolio.

Dean Barley, president and CEO of Tadano America Corporation, Tadano Mantis, and Tadano Manitex, said the move reflects Tadano’s mission to remain dedicated to equipment design and manufacturing. “Rental operations require a different business model and priorities,” Barley explained. “Under Sunbelt Rentals’ ownership, Rabern Rentals will have the flexibility and focus necessary to continue growing its rental business and better serve customers.”

By divesting Rabern Rentals, Tadano avoids competing with rental companies and reinforces its role as a committed partner to them.
