Linde Material Handling has unveiled a new generation of automated forklifts, expanding its portfolio as more warehouses embrace automation to tackle labor shortages and boost efficiency.

The latest additions include the Linde K MATIC k VNA turret truck, designed for very narrow aisles with a 1.5-ton load capacity and lift heights up to 14.5 meters. Also introduced are the Linde R-MATIC k reach truck, available in three versions handling up to 2.3 tons, and the Linde L MATIC AC counterbalanced pallet stacker with cantilevered forks for flexible pallet handling.

These new trucks are built to integrate seamlessly into existing systems or support fully automated solutions, helping customers improve material flow with minimal disruption,” said Pascal Kuster, Sales Trainer for Automated Guided Vehicles at Linde MH.

Equipped with intelligent, sensor-based pallet positioning systems, the trucks can detect empty rack spaces, identify obstacles, and automatically correct misaligned pallets, ensuring safe and precise load handling. Powered by lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries, they are managed via Linde’s MATIC:move+ platform, which enables real-time monitoring, order tracking, and predictive maintenance.

The lineup also supports coordination between manual and automated vehicles through Linde’s Warehouse Manager software and integrates safety systems such as 360° scanners, emergency stops, and acoustic warnings.

Pascal emphasized that successful automation requires more than just advanced equipment—it demands careful planning, standardised processes, and strategic adaptation.

“Automation empowers employees to focus on higher-value tasks while unmanned vehicles handle routine movements,” he noted. “We support customers from planning through to implementation and maintenance, ensuring a smooth transition and reliable performance.”
