Oman Air Cargo has announced a major expansion of its European services, unveiling a new direct route to Amsterdam and increased cargo capacity on its popular London route. The news was shared by Michael Duggan, Head of Cargo at Oman Air, during the IATA World Cargo Symposium in Dubai this week.

Starting 1 July 2025, the airline will launch direct flights to Amsterdam, operating four times per week with its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Each flight will offer between 14 and 18 metric tonnes of cargo capacity in both directions, providing enhanced connectivity for cargo between Oman and the Netherlands.

In addition, Oman Air will reintroduce double-daily flights between Muscat and London Heathrow from October 2025. Initially offered four times a week, the second daily flight is expected to expand to a full 14 flights per week by summer 2026, also using the B787-9 fleet.

The launch of our Amsterdam service, along with increased frequencies to London, means we can offer our cargo customers greater flexibility and a wider global reach, supported by our modern fleet,” said Duggan. He highlighted the airline’s temperature-controlled cargo terminal in Muscat as a key part of its reliable service offering.

Oman Air Cargo’s announcement comes as the team actively participates in the IATA symposium. Duggan joined a panel on Air Cargo Customs Compliance, while other team members took part in the Future Air Cargo Executives (FACES) summit — reinforcing the airline’s commitment to innovation and leadership in the cargo sector.
