Chapman Freeborn has appointed Bernardo Nunes to its Board of Directors, following his role as Chief Operating Officer since November last year. Nunes previously served as Director of Transformation and Analytics, bringing over 25 years of experience in air cargo and finance to the air charterer.
“I am honored to join the board,” said Nunes. “Since rejoining Chapman Freeborn last year, I’ve worked closely with Eric and the board to expand into new markets and strengthen strategic leadership across the group. I look forward to continuing this work as a board member during this exciting time for the business.”
Nunes will continue to oversee global operations for Chapman Freeborn and its subsidiaries, including Magma Aviation, Intradco Global, On Board Courier (OBC), and Arcus Air Group.
Eric Erbacher, Chief Executive Officer of Chapman Freeborn, welcomed the appointment:
“Bernardo is a valued member of the team, and I warmly welcome him to the board. We look forward to working more closely with him as we focus on our 2030 vision, drive long-term growth, and reinforce Chapman Freeborn’s reputation as the leading air charterer.”
Nunes’ appointment comes amid a broader recruitment drive at Chapman Freeborn, including an expansion of European cargo operations, a new Vice President for its Humanitarian and Government division in the Americas, and a 48% increase in women in management positions over the past year.
