With the aim to modernise its fleet of mobile cranes with lifting capacities from 50 to 110 tonnes, Schmidbauer has opted for four mobile cranes from Liebherr. The order also includes two crawler cranes which are intended to support the energy transition.  “Our group of companies is actively combating climate change. We have ordered the two new LR 1800-1.0 and LR 11350 crawler cranes for the production of renewable energy,” says Werner Schmidbauer, explaining the investment in the two large cranes. The LR 1800-1.0 will be used, among other things, for the assembly of onshore wind turbines; the LR 11350 is planned primarily for port handling of large components for the Fos-Sur-Mer offshore wind farm in the Marseille area.
