Hackl Spezial-Transporte GmbH has placed an order for Goldhofer’s new »FT SERIES«, a pivot-mounted pendulum axle combination system for on-road working in the heavy payload class.

“The decisive factor for the purchase was the unprecedented flexibility and investment security offered by the new pivot-mounted pendulum axle combination system. In addition, the »FT SERIES« can combined with an extra-large and deep excavator boom recess for moving heavy equipment,” explained Florian Hackl.

According to Goldhofer, this smart system unites semitrailers in the heavy payload class and heavy-duty module combinations, especially for road transportation. The big attraction of this new type of vehicle is that system changes can be made quickly and easily at any time.
The combination ordered by Hackl comprises a 2-axle and 1-axle chassis up front, a crawler deck and a 5-axle rear chassis with an excavator boom recess. The detachable 1-axle chassis is used for the extra payload needed to move large demolition excavators weighing up to 92t in combination with the 5-axle tractor.
