DENZAI Bangladesh Ltd. has secured a contract from Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company Limited (KAFCO) to provide heavy haulage, erection and installation services for a new 201-tonne pool condenser at the company’s fertilizer plant in Bangladesh.

The project also includes the dismantling and disposal of the existing pool condenser, as well as the transportation of the new unit from Italy to Bangladesh. KAFCO operates one of the country’s largest private-sector fertilizer plants, producing ammonia and urea to support Bangladesh’s agricultural industry.

The contract was signed by Kohki Uemura, CEO of DENZAI Group, and Omar Faruk, Managing Director of DENZAI Bangladesh Ltd., alongside KAFCO representatives Md. Abdullah Faruque, Chief Operating Officer, and Faruk Ahmed, General Manager (Procurement).

To support the project, DENZAI Bangladesh has invested in an Enerpac LH400SK skidding system and 16 axles of Goldhofer heavy-duty transport modules, including THP/ADDrive SPMTs and THP/SL trailers. Eight of the newly acquired axles will be deployed on the KAFCO project. The company also plans to mobilise an 800-tonne crawler crane from Singapore, with construction activities scheduled to begin in August.

Located in Chattogram, KAFCO is an international joint venture involving the governments of Bangladesh and Japan, together with Japanese investors including Chiyoda Corporation and Marubeni, as well as other international partners. The project reflects the long-standing industrial and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Commenting on the award, Omar Faruk, Managing Director of DENZAI Bangladesh Ltd., said: “We are honored to have the opportunity to work with KAFCO on this project. Our team is fully committed to delivering it to the highest standards of safety, engineering excellence, and operational efficiency. This engagement further strengthens DENZAI Bangladesh Ltd.’s presence in Bangladesh’s industrial and energy sectors, where we are proud to support key facilities with specialized engineering and heavy lifting solutions.”

The contract further strengthens DENZAI Bangladesh’s position in the country’s industrial and energy sectors, where it continues to support major infrastructure and manufacturing facilities with specialised heavy lifting, transport and installation solutions.
