The Aline consortium, led by Eiffage through the economic interest group Eiffage Énergie Systèmes Ferroviaires in a partnership with VINCI Energies subsidiary SDEL Transport Grands Projets, has won the contract to implement the electrical architecture for Lines 16 and 17 of the Grand Paris Express. The two lines comprise 30 kilometres of track, 10 stations and 32 ancillary structures.
Worth over €68 million, this contract covers the creation of a 20 kV high-voltage network running from 14 Enedis delivery points; electrical distribution in the tunnels, stations and ancillary structures to 226 low-voltage distribution boards; rollout of optical cables on the multi-service data transmission network for the two sections of lines; installation of passenger safety systems in the railway tunnel (lighting, electrical points, emergency telephone system, temperature increase detection) as well as rollout of optical cables on the tunnel structure monitoring system. In addition to these technical works, the contract involves the organisation of complex worksite logistics to ensure the line sections become operational at the end of 2027, following their partial opening for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The consortium also committed to outsource 20% of the works to SMEs and to provide 10,000 hours of workplace integration placements.
