Kalmar has signed a three-year Complete Care service contract with the Port of Halmstad in Sweden, extending a long-standing partnership covering maintenance of the port’s cargo-handling equipment fleet.
The agreement was booked in Kalmar’s Q3 2026 order intake and is intended to support equipment uptime, productivity and operational safety across the port’s mixed handling fleet.
Port of Halmstad, operated by Hallands Hamnar Halmstad AB, is one of Sweden’s ten largest seaports and handles a broad range of cargo including containers, RoRo, steel, scrap metal and forest products.
Under the renewed Complete Care agreement, Kalmar will continue providing comprehensive maintenance services through its local service organisation.
“Kalmar has supported our terminal operations for many years. Renewing our Kalmar Complete Care contract helps us maintain reliable and efficient operations, keep cargo moving smoothly and deliver the level of service our customers expect,” said Jens Madsen, Service Manager at Port of Halmstad.
The contract strengthens Kalmar’s service presence in the Swedish port sector and forms part of the company’s strategy to expand its lifecycle support activities alongside equipment sales.
“Our local service teams work closely with the port every day to ensure their fleet operates at peak efficiency,” said Anna Jern-Houttu, VP Service Solutions at Kalmar.
