Sallaum Lines has reached a significant milestone in its fleet expansion programme with the simultaneous delivery of two new Pure Car and Truck Carriers, MV Ocean Express and MV Ocean Navigator, in Nanjing, China.

Built by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard and registered under the Cyprus flag, the vessels join the company’s growing Ocean Class fleet and represent the largest single day expansion of the programme to date. The delivery ceremony was attended by Sallaum Lines’ founder, chairman and senior executives.

Each vessel offers a capacity of 7,400 CEU across 13 cargo decks and has been designed to transport a wide range of cargo, including passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, SUVs, rolling machinery and oversized project cargo. With vehicle clearance heights of up to 5.4 metres and widths of 13.5 metres, the ships provide enhanced flexibility for customers operating in the automotive, heavy equipment and project logistics sectors.

The new vessels are powered by LNG dual fuel propulsion systems and incorporate energy efficient technologies that exceed current IMO requirements. In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants, the vessels have been designed to support long haul operations while offering greater fuel flexibility.

Ibrahim Sallaum, Founder of Sallaum Lines, described the dual delivery as a major achievement for the company and a reflection of its long term commitment to growth and innovation.

The addition of MV Ocean Express and MV Ocean Navigator strengthens the company’s ability to meet increasing demand across its global network. In recent years, demand for Sallaum Lines’ services has frequently exceeded available capacity, particularly on key trade routes linking Asia and Europe.

The vessels will enter commercial service immediately and join MV Ocean Breeze, MV Ocean Explorer and MV Ocean Legacy within the Ocean Class fleet, further enhancing Sallaum Lines’ position in the global RoRo market while supporting its long term sustainability and growth ambitions.
