Harland & Wolff Belfast, part of Navantia UK, has purchased two Industrial Heavy Transporters (IHT) from TII Kamag as part of a major shipyard modernisation programme. The new vehicles will enhance internal logistics and play a key role in the upgrade of the Belfast facility, supporting Navantia UK’s delivery of the UK Ministry of Defence’s Fleet Solid Support (FSS) contract.
“The new Kamag IHTs will help us further optimise our production processes,” said Ian Agnew, FSS Procurement Officer at Navantia UK. “We needed a transport solution that was reliable, efficient, and flexible enough to integrate into our operations. TII Kamag’s technology met all requirements, and our collaboration has always been built on trust.”
Shipbuilding logistics place high demands on transport equipment, with large components, limited space, and fast-paced operations requiring robust and adaptable solutions. The introduction of Kamag IHTs provides a sustainable, long-term answer to these challenges.
Harland & Wolff’s relationship with the TII Group is longstanding, with previous investments including Scheuerle Shipyard Transporters. The addition of Kamag IHTs marks the next step in this partnership, reinforcing the shipyard’s ability to handle complex logistics and supporting the facility’s continued development.
