Renault Trucks had a successful year in 2022, with a total of 58,967 deliveries, up 15% compared to the previous year. In Europe, the company increased its market share to 9.4% in the over-16 tonne segment, while maintaining its leading position in France with a 29.4% market share.

Renault Trucks also saw a rise in its market share in the electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles (MHDV) segment, achieving a 24.2% market share in Europe. The manufacturer is transitioning to electric mobility and has already established itself as a key player in the electric MHDV market, with a 75% market share in France.

In 2022, Renault Trucks invoiced 379 Renault Trucks E-Tech D and D Wide in the electric MHDV market and 268 Renault Trucks E-Tech Master electric light commercial vehicles. The manufacturer has already taken orders for over 1,700 electric vehicles for 2023, and will begin production of electric heavy-duty trucks in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, at the end of 2023. Renault Trucks is aiming for 50% of its sales to be of all-electric vehicles by 2030.

In addition to the successful transition to electric mobility, Renault Trucks’ international sales increased by 24%, with a total of 6,807 vehicles sold. The company’s positions have also risen in most countries, including Indonesia, Chile, and many African countries. The company achieved record market shares in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, customers continue to show loyalty to the manufacturer’s workshops, which have recorded a 24% increase in turnover in the spare parts business. These achievements demonstrate that Renault Trucks is successfully navigating the challenging European market, marked by significant supply chain disruptions, and continues to strengthen its positions in the face of competition.
