MCS Rental Software has integrated 365id’s identity verification technology into its rental management platform, giving equipment rental companies a new way to verify customers and reduce fraud risk during the hire process.
The integration allows rental businesses to check passports, identity cards and driving licences directly within their existing MCS workflow. 365id’s technology is designed to identify signs of document fraud that may be difficult to detect through visual inspection alone.
Customer information captured during the identity check can then be transferred directly into MCS Rental Software, reducing manual data entry, duplicate work and the risk of typing errors.
The development is particularly relevant for rental companies handling high-value equipment, short-term hires and assets where confirming customer identity forms an important part of risk management.
“Our global customers are continually looking for smarter ways to protect their assets while keeping the rental experience fast and professional,” said Chris Clarke, Chief Technology Officer at MCS Rental Software. “The 365id integration gives rental businesses a practical way to strengthen identity verification directly within their MCS system, helping reduce risk without adding unnecessary admin.”
The integration is aimed at rental businesses operating across construction equipment, tool hire, access equipment, events and other specialist rental sectors.
“Identity verification should be a natural part of the rental process,” said Anders Green, Sales & Marketing Director at 365id. “Our partnership with MCS brings our solutions closer to the everyday work of rental teams, helping them make better-informed decisions and spend less time on manual administration.”
MCS says the rental company remains responsible for the final decision, with the technology providing additional verification information to support staff during the rental process.
