MCS Rental Software has added 23 telematics providers to its Telematics Hub, increasing the total number of connected platforms to 39 and giving rental companies wider access to equipment data through a single management system.
The latest integrations include CAT, Manitou, Mecalac, Niftylift, Wacker Neuson, Skyjack, Genie, Jekko, AUSA and Generac Mobile, alongside other telematics specialists.
For rental businesses operating mixed fleets, the expanded connectivity brings data from equipment such as cranes, telehandlers, MEWPs, forklifts, generators and light towers into the same workflow instead of requiring teams to access individual manufacturer platforms.
The system provides information on equipment utilisation and telematics events, while helping operators identify machine warnings and potential faults remotely. This can reduce unnecessary site visits and accelerate troubleshooting when equipment is operating away from the depot.
MCS has also introduced an MCP function allowing users to query equipment utilisation data using plain English. The information can help identify over-utilisation and support fuel consumption and CO₂ reporting.
The company plans to extend this data into its online customer portal, allowing rental customers to access fuel and emissions reports directly.
“Rather than having to log into a separate provider platform, our customers can now access equipment information and view telematics data all in one place,” said Nick Thomson, Chief Sales Officer at MCS Rental Software.
The expansion reflects the growing use of connected equipment across the rental sector, where fleet utilisation, remote diagnostics and emissions reporting are becoming increasingly important parts of day-to-day equipment management.
