LGH Europe is completing its largest fleet investment programme to date, expanding into higher-capacity lifting, skidding, hydraulic and load-monitoring equipment for complex projects across energy, offshore, infrastructure and heavy industry.
Among the latest additions is a 400t/800t Holmatro skidding system for moving heavy assets in restricted-headroom environments, alongside 520t Enerpac hydraulic cylinders for bridge, structural and civil engineering applications.
LGH has also added 800t and 1,000t Green Pin shackles for use with its 1,500t MEGAMOD spreader beam, strengthening the company’s capability for offshore lifts, heavy onshore operations and load-testing programmes.

The investment also includes 500t Crosby Straightpoint wireless load shackles, additional Jakob Rope Systems Habegger Hit-Tracs in capacities from 1.6t to 6.4t, and 150t De Haan snatch blocks.
“Our investment strategy is driven by what our customers are facing on the ground: heavier loads, tighter tolerances and more complex engineered lifting requirements,” said Andy Mault, CEO at LGH Europe.
He added that the new equipment is aimed specifically at projects where technical expertise, compliance and precise lifting control are critical.
The 400t/800t skidding system is intended for applications such as transformer movements, machinery installation and heavy industrial transport, where conventional crane lifting may not be practical.
Meanwhile, the new load-monitoring and rigging equipment expands LGH’s ability to manage higher-capacity lifts while maintaining accurate load measurement and control in confined arrangements.
“Projects are becoming larger, heavier and more technically challenging. Investing in specialist equipment is only part of the equation as understanding how and where it should be deployed is equally important,” said Phil Smith, Operations Director at LGH Europe.
Further fleet investment is planned before the end of the year as LGH continues to expand its specialist lifting and engineered transport offering.
